Land O’ Lakes, FL- February 24, 2026- United Way of Pasco County (UWPC) is proud to join more than 1,000 United Way communities worldwide in unveiling a refreshed global brand designed to inspire action, strengthen trust, and reaffirm United Way’s role as a catalyst for lasting community change. The new brand introduces the unifying message “United We Thrive,” supported by the campaign “United is the Way™.”
The refreshed brand reminds communities everywhere that when people come together, they can overcome disaster, division, and day-to-day struggles. For Pasco County, where 37% of households qualify as ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed), this message is both timely and deeply personal.
“United We Thrive reflects what we see every day in Pasco County,” said Laura Ospina-Knight, President of United Way of Pasco County. “Families are working hard but still struggling to make ends meet. When residents see our Logo, I want them to be reminded that there are resources available through United Way. Real, lasting change only happens when communities come together with shared purpose and local solutions.”
The focal point of the refreshed identity is United Way’s iconic Circle of Hope, originally designed by famed graphic designer Saul Bass in 1972. UWPC has used the original logo since 1982. Today’s modernized logo retains its core elements: the rainbow of hope, the hand of support, and the person as a symbol of humanity, while removing the enclosing box to reflect a more open, inclusive, and dynamic organization. The refreshed logotype reinforces United Way’s bold, forward-looking commitment to communities today and for generations to come.
The brand refresh is part of a multi-year global strategy launched by United Way Worldwide to increase engagement at a time when charitable giving and volunteering are in decline. Grounded in extensive research across multiple countries, the strategy reinforces United Way’s promise to mobilize communities to action so all can thrive, while United Way Pasco continues to focus on core impact areas: Adult & Child Abuse, Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking, Economic Mobility, Homelessness, Mental Health, Physical Health, Substance Abuse Recovery, Youth Success & Education. United Way of Pasco adds the additional focus of Disaster Relief when hurricane devastation calls us into action.
“Our mission has always been local at its core,” Ospina-Knight added. “While the brand is global, our work remains rooted in Pasco County- listening to our neighbors, responding in real time, and ensuring resources stay right here where they are needed most.”
The refreshed United Way brand will continue rolling out across UWPC communications, digital platforms, and community engagement efforts throughout 2026.
