First Annual Fox Wood Community Walk for United Way
On December 9th, 2007 the gated community of Fox Wood in Trinity, came together to walk a 2.2 mile course through their neighborhood to look at the Fox Wood residents holiday lights and to raise money for the United Way of Pasco County.
About 100 participants walked the neighborhood with flashlights and singing Christmas carols along the way. Before the start of the walk and at the end of the walk, two United Way Partner Agencies, CARES and Boys and Girls Club of West Pasco handed out free holiday treats and drinks to the participants.
The event was organized by the Fox Wood Helps United Way Committee. The committee raised $2600.00 for United Way and are looking forward to making this event even bigger next year.
